Job summary

A leading community service organization in Singapore is looking for a Senior Social Worker to manage mental health interventions and guide multi-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Work, be a registered social worker, and possess prior supervisory experience. Job Purpose

The Community Outreach Team (CREST) focuses on raising public awareness of mental health conditions and dementia, promotes early recognition of at-risk individuals, provides emotional support to individuals and their caregivers and links individuals to relevant health and social care services when necessary.

The Senior Social Worker is qualified and trained to assist in managing mental health interventions and programmes and uplifting the professional practice in social work. He/she guides multi-disciplinary teams to implement and evaluate casework and group work and also organises strategic community development initiatives, programmes and research. He/she supervises social workers and supports their professional development.

An experienced professional who is insightful, responsible and possesses the willingness to supervise, the Senior Social Worker also collaborates with other agencies and ministries in the course of his work.

Skills and qualifications
  • Minimally a Degree level in Social Work

  • Prior supervisiory experience, with exposure to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and/or inter-disciplinary team (IDT) approaches
  • Experience of reporting KPIs to senior management
  • Well-versed in competency frameworks utilised in the social service sector (e.g., National Mental Health Competency Framework, National Social Work Competency Framework, Skills Framework for Social Service, etc.)
