Job description

An engineering consultancy firm is currently looking for a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to join their organization with the following requirements

Responsibilities

• Focus on maximizing project efficiency and profitability
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned proposals and projects as per logical sequencing, pro-actively monitor project critical path and initiate corrective actions as needed in consultation with Program Manager
• Interact with clients, interpret their needs and requirements and align teams internally with the expectations
• Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status
• Assist in developing fit for purpose design and engineering quality compliance systems including standard templates
• Assist program manager, communicate wit internal stakeholders, and collaborate to create more efficient fit for purpose project methods to maintain the project's profitability
• Review the engineering tasks and initiate necessary corrective actions under guidance from Program Manager
• Develop specifications for th project's needed equipment
• Create framework to measure th project's metrics and data collection
• Support consulting type activities, proposals, FEED and EPCM type of work scope in Oil / Gas / Energy industies
• Ensure project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
• Develop / Assist for project integrated project schedule using MS Project / Primavera Project Management
• Support project Management Change review and approvals
• Collaborate with cost and schedule engineer for project reports
• Interface with Contract's team to ensure correct cost coding and payment request processing of contractor and vendor invoices
• Participate in bid process and evaluation of contractor schedule submittals
  
• Review progress schedule and technical change order
• Ensure effective project implementation, create WBS and monitor with the use of project management system up to the closure of project
• Coordinate and work with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve project issues to ensure delivery of the project
• Attend project meetings with external parties
• Assist vendor progress measurement, variation analysis, cash flow and forecasting
• Assist Program Managers with forecasting cost at completion
• Lead project close out

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering
• Min. 10 years experience in project development and engineering , consulting, FEED/ EPC preferably in energy industry
• Good experience in project management
• Working experience in MS Office Suite products - Excel, Words, Powerpoint and outlook
• Working experience in MS Project / Primavera (P6)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Consistently demonstrated strong analytical skills, detail oriented, highly organized
• Proactive and resourceful
• Willing to work in western part of Singapore
