Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte. Ltd. is seeking a process development expert to advance post-fab wafer finishing processes for high-performance memory.

You will collaborate across Singapore, Boise, and Taiwan sites to launch new technologies and integration flows ensuring performance, cost, manufacturability and reliability. The role involves cross-functional teamwork with Package Integration, Assembly Engineering, Front End Wafer Fab, and Global Quality to deliver smooth transitions

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master’s degree with ≥3 years, or Bachelor’s degree with ≥5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Semiconductor process development experience, preferably in wafer bonding, plating, warpage control and packaging.
• Deep understanding of chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, mass transport, physical phenomena.
• Deep understanding of films and interface engineering and analysis techniques: SIMS, XPS, EDX, SEM/TEM.
• Proven ability to collaborate with local and overseas teams on projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for concise remote and local communications.
• Willingness to work extended hours if required.
• Proven ability to work in demanding and dynamic environments with multiple ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage process development projects to deliver technology node requirements for wafer-level processes; photolithography, dry etch, CMP, wet process, deposition, plating, wafer bonding and thinning.
• Identify disruptive processes early and coordinate with manufacturing for viable paths forward.
• Perform fundamental research, hardware evaluations, and testing for novel applications and IP generation.
• Initiate experiments to widen process margins and test manufacturability of next node solutions.
• Design and implement advanced process monitoring and control methodologies.
• Lead cross-functional teams across sites and suppliers in quality, yield, cost and productivity improvement.
