Job description

The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for providing residents in regaining mobility, strength, balance, fall prevention and manage pain.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assess and identify individual needs of all cases, formulate, develop and implement appropriate individualised physiotherapy programmes to facilitate, restore, improve and maintain movement and functional abilities
  • Evaluate the residents’ care plan and re-assess to establish a follow-up care plan
  • Work with residents based on their levels of function and severity of disability
  • Evaluate and document residents’ therapy needs, progress on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as part of the trans-disciplinary team of professionals involved in the rehabilitative treatment process
  • Refer residents to the respective specialists for consultation and appropriate intervention as and when necessary
  • Provide therapy consultation, support and update on the residents’ progress and status to caregivers and all those involved in the team
  • Evaluate, prescribe and fabricate/purchase of wheelchair and assistive devices as required by the residents to improve function
  • Train caregivers and volunteers in the maintenance of therapy programs
  • Supervise and work in liaison with the volunteers and other healthcare assistants who are helping in the treatment of residents
  • Keep abreast of the latest research and developments on physiotherapy
  • Assist and or follow up therapists' KPIs and training needs
  • Participate/support Company’s events as and when required
  • Engage with partners/ stakeholders from hospitals and other community organizations
  • Maintain inventory of the equipment and resource materials for the programs
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Physiotherapy
  • Registered with Singapore Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in healthcare or ILTC setting
  • Possess initiative, drive and self-motivation to persevere and make things happen
