Job summary

Argyll Scott is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to provide L2 production support for critical Payments applications within a global banking environment. The role concentrates on production incidents, RCA, service stability, and operational excellence in a high-availability payments setup.

Key responsibilities include handling 24x7 incidents, leading incident/problem management, monitoring health, and collaborating across global teams on patches, release activities, and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ IT/Application Support experience.
• Experience with high-availability, real-time transaction applications.
• Hands-on with Unix/Linux, Windows, SQL/Oracle/DB2/PLSQL.
• Exposure to JDBC, XML/JSON, MQ/RabbitMQ, Microservices and MuleSoft.
• Strong ITIL, ServiceNow, monitoring and RCA experience.
• Payments experience across RTGS, Real-Time, Domestic or Cross-Border Payments.
• Finacle or payment orchestration experience is highly desirable.
• Dyantrace, splunk expertise in Finacle is most preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for critical production incidents in a 24x7 environment.
• Lead incident/problem management, RCA and permanent remediation.
• Monitor application health and perform technical troubleshooting and BAU automation.
• Work closely with global support, infrastructure, development and business teams.
• Support patching, vulnerability remediation, release activities and service governance.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex production issues.
