Job summary

SAKSOFT LIMITED seeks a Production Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for banking applications, transaction-processing services, and infrastructure in a 24x7 SLA-driven environment.

The role involves investigation of payment failures, login issues, core banking concerns, and card processing, with emphasis on incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and service restoration across UNIX/Linux, Windows, and mainframe systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in banking application support or related production roles.
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical banking systems in SLA-driven environments.
• Hands-on experience investigating payment, login, authentication, transaction, core banking, card-processing, batch, interface, or file-transfer issues.
• Proficient in end-to-end transaction tracing, log analysis, SQL investigation, data validation, troubleshooting, and RCA.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Windows Server, AS/400, and mainframe environments with multiple platforms.
• Experience with Splunk, Geneos, Control-M, SQL monitoring, and enterprise monitoring.
• Automation or scripting experience using Ansible, UNIX/Linux shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, SQL.
• Strong incident, problem, and change management experience, including RCA and post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

• Banking Application and Customer Issue Support: investigate payment failures, login/auth issues, and card-processing incidents.
• Transaction Investigation and Production Support: end-to-end tracing across apps, logs, and interfaces to locate failures.
• Infrastructure Maintenance and Engineering: patching, upgrades, deployment, and DR readiness.
• Monitoring, Batch Operations, and Automation: dashboards, alerts, and automation to reduce manual work.
• Service Operations and ITIL Management: incident, problem, change processes, and release coordination.
• Stakeholder, Documentation, and Compliance: update stakeholders and maintain runbooks and SOPs.
