Job summary

A government agency for environmental conservation in Singapore is seeking a team member for infrastructure maintenance and development projects on Pulau Ubin. This role involves assisting with maintenance programmes, conducting inspections, and coordinating with contractors. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in facilities management and a background in relevant engineering disciplines. A passion for outdoor work and strong interpersonal skills are necessary. A fast-paced environment and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of related working experience in Facilities or Building Management.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations related to URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, and NEA.
  • Able to work in team environment and adapt to fast-paced conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in implementing maintenance programmes and development projects.
  • Conduct inspections for the upkeep of facilities and public spaces.
  • Coordinate with contractors on technical and engineering activities.

Job description

What the role is:

You will be part of the team based at Pulau Ubin that manages the maintenance programme and development projects for infrastructure and services on the island.

What you will be working on:

  • Assist the Manager to implement the maintenance programmes and development projects for infrastructure and services in Pulau Ubin

  • Conduct inspection and ensure good upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and public spaces for the safety and enjoyment of visitors

  • Coordinate with contractors on various technical, engineering and estate management activities

  • Support community outreach and engagement programmes


What we are looking for:

  • Areas of study in Facilities Management, Building Management, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline

  • At least 2 years of related working experience in Facilities or Building Management

  • Knowledge of statutory regulations of relevant authorities e.g. URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA

  • Enjoy working in an outdoor environment

  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

  • Able to work in team environment and adapt to a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays on roster basis
