Overview

Senior Manager (Creative Productions), ACD role at People's Association. As Senior Manager (Creative Productions), serves as the Assistant Artistic Director to assist the Artistic Director to oversee all aspects of the artistic production of the Chingay Parade. The incumbent also serves as a choreographer and trainer for PA major arts and cultural events such as the Chingay Parade, PA Talents Community Outreach showcase/Concerts and National Day Celebration events. Additionally, the incumbent will provide creative direction for PassionArts Festival, creating greater synergy between Chingay and PAssionArts, while planning and supervising all performances to meet the required artistic standards and to align with PA’s mission and objectives.

What you will be working on

• Serves as the Assistant Artistic Producer, choreographer and trainer for the Chingay Parade to support in the conceptualisation of the parade concept and present interesting and spectacular items for the Parade.
• Plans and coordinates future Chingay Parades to facilitate early engagement of partners and various communities.
• Provides artistic advice/inputs and works closely with choreographers on Chingay and other arts and cultural performances to ensure that the outcomes achieve good standard of performance.
• Works closely with the appointed music director/personnel to create, source and curate the selection of music to enhance the presentation of the performances at Chingay Parade and any other cultural performances presented by the PA Talents Dance Ensembles (PA Talents).
• Provides artistic concept and supervises the production process (includes floats, costumes, props, sets) of Chingay and all other cultural activities/performances by PA Talents.
• Conducts component, combined and full dressed rehearsals for Chingay.
• Prepares cue sheets for the full-dress rehearsals and shows (including cues for performers, lightings, effects, singers) and serves as the cue master for the rehearsals and shows.
• Serves as a production manager to Chingay performing groups, coordinating the groups’ participation in the Chingay Parade and its rehearsals and related fringe activities by providing administrative and technical support (choreography, training, costumes, floats, props, sound and lighting) to ensure their performances meet the acceptable standard of the parade.
• Serves as a Relationship Manager to build and maintain close working relationships with partners and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of PA's arts and cultural events.
• Provides creative direction for the annual PassionArts Festival and ensure synergy between Chingay and PAssionArts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Officers.
