Job Summary

As a key driver of company’s growth strategy, the Senior Manager, Business Development (BD) will lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of high-value in-licensing opportunities across global markets. This role requires a strategic and commercially minded professional capable of navigating complex deals, leading cross‑functional teams, and strengthening our pipeline of biotech assets. The Senior Manager will act as a bridge between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and delivering measurable business impact.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Strategic Due Diligence & Deal Evaluation
  • Lead pre‑deal due diligence for in‑licensing and out‑licensing initiatives, covering Europe, APAC, Middle East, and other key markets.
  • Analyze potential deals, assess risks, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Support contract negotiations with key partners, ensuring risk mitigation and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, and product development teams to evaluate technical, financial, and operational feasibility.
2. Project Leadership & Execution
  • Design, implement, and oversee end‑to‑end project management frameworks for BD initiatives.
  • Drive prioritization of strategic deals and ensure timely execution across multiple markets and BD offices.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for senior leadership reporting, including CEO‑level updates on BD progress.
3. Financial & Strategic Assessment
  • Lead preparation of comprehensive business cases for in‑ and out‑licensing deals, ensuring financial and strategic rigor.
  • Evaluate deal structures, terms, exit clauses, and commercial implications.
  • Play a central role in structuring NBOs and binding offers for in‑licensing opportunities.
  • Provide financial modeling, ROI analysis, and risk assessment to support informed decision‑making.
4. Partner Engagement & Market Development
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with potential manufacturers, distributors, and strategic partners globally.
  • Conduct partner due diligence, market research, and competitive analysis to inform BD strategy.
  • Lead product discussions, agreement negotiations, and finalize contracts.
  • Drive long‑term strategic partnerships to enhance market presence and business growth.
5. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Team Enablement
  • Collaborate closely with product development, Regulatory, Legal, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of BD initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the BD function.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in biotech/pharma business development, licensing, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven expertise in due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, and project management.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and financial acumen.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at senior levels.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
