Job description

This role sits within a front-office engineering group responsible for building user-facing platforms that support real-time pricing, execution, and analytics. The team partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver robust, intuitive, and performance-critical applications used daily by front-office professionals.

You will contribute to the design and delivery of modern UI solutions in an environment that values engineering quality, scalability, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern UI components for applications
• Own front-end development standards and contribute to UI architecture decisions
• Collaborate with business users to understand functional requirements and usability needs
• Work alongside backend and platform engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Contribute to performance tuning, resilience, and maintainability of front-office systems

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience, with minimum at least 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
• Familiarity and experience in financial services/banking space
• Strong proficiency in modern web frameworks (React) is a must (5+ years hands-on experience)
• Experience building complex, data-intensive user interfaces in regulated or high-availability environments
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and automated build/deployment pipelines
• Strong understanding of UI performance optimisation and responsive design
• Experience working with UI frameworks, component libraries, and design systems
• Exposure to backend development (e.g. Java or C#) is advantageous
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a must
