Job Description

You are responsible for assisting in generating sales through creative retail displays that capture customers' attention, with the goal of providing an excellent in-store experience. You should have a good grasp of design principles and have experience in managing a team of graphic designers. You will employ visual merchandising principles to convert window shoppers into prospects by driving branding and sales objectives in order to maximise profitability.

You are expected to :
  • Create and implement a visual merchandising strategy
  • Ensure the strategy is in line with the store's brand, products, and target market
  • Manage and optimise the skills of graphic team members
  • Design display guides and bulletins for corporate campaigns
  • Maintain internal graphic job bookings and POSM allocation bookings
  • Gatekeep corporate brand format guidelines for different banners under the Group
  • Finalise designs and create visual display proposals for display areas
  • Source props, creative materials, and accessories for displays
  • Install and set up window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays, or supervise contractors hired for this purpose
  • Change displays to promote new product launches or to reflect festive or seasonal themes
  • Ensure uniformity of displays across multiple store locations
  • Liaise with other retail professionals, including buyers, marketing executives, and retail merchandisers when necessary
  • Research lifestyle and design trends that will inform the visual merchandising strategy
  • Use applied skills in visual design and space utilisation to enhance the aesthetic appeal of window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays
Qualifications
  • Diploma / GCE A' level / Higher NITEC / GCE O' level with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio
  • Experience in graphic design and / or field visual merchandising
  • Experience in leading a team Technical expert in graphic design
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Comfortable with use of ladder and working at heights (i.e. setting up store displays, festive decoration, collaterals and posters in stores)
  • Will be required to travel to various branches from time to time
