Job summary

ST Logistics Pte Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Senior / Executive - Finance (Accounts Receivable) to support the accounting team with AR duties, billing, and data-related tasks.

The role involves monthly reporting, debt collection monitoring, and potential participation in automation and system testing projects. The ideal candidate has a diploma/degree in finance or related fields with exposure to freight billing and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline required.
• Experience in freight forwarding, billing, automation or system implementation is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP Hana) and freight systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate billing for Freight shipments.
• Support timely month-end billing closure and preparation of monthly reports.
• Monitor billing accuracy, outstanding jobs and relevant billing KPIs.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for digitalisation, AI, projects and system enhancements.
• Support development and implementation of automated billing for Freight.
• Assist in developing automated checks between shipment data, customer rate tables, quotations and docs.
• Identify activities for automation, system validation or exception processing.
• Participate in testing of automation solutions and system enhancements (UAT).
• Validate system-generated billing recommendations and investigate exceptions.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce manual intervention and billing errors/time.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Senior / Executive (Accounts Receivable) - Finance supports the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He/she is involved in work that is specific to accounts receivable, accounts payable, data compilation, sales billing, vendor invoice posting and other accounting tasks. In some instances, he/she may work specifically with accruals and the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts receivable account payable for audit purposes.
The Senior / Executive (Accounts Receivable) - Finance assist with the preparation of monthly reporting, and close monitoring of debt collection or payment processing. He/ She may be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects, lead in continuous improvement projects and systems testing when necessary.

Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks

• Perform timely and accurate billing for Freight shipments
• Support timely month-end billing closure and preparation of monthly reports
• Monitor billing accuracy, outstanding jobs and other relevant billing KPIs
• Enthusiasm in digitalisation, AI, projects and system enhancements implementation
• Support the development and implementation of automated billing for Freight
• Assist in developing automated checks between shipment/job information, customer rate tables, quotations and supporting documents
• Identify billing activities suitable for automation, system validation or exception-based processing
• Participate in testing of automation solutions and system enhancements, including preparation of test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Validate system-generated billing recommendations and investigate exceptions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual intervention, billing errors and billing turnaround time
• Other ad-hoc duties, as assigned

Job Requirements

Diploma/ Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information systems or a related discipline

Candidates with other tertiary qualifications but strong relevant experience in freight forwarding, billing, automation or system implementation will also be considered

Familar with ERP such as System Freight and SAP Hana

Ability to work with high volume transcations and under tight reporting deadlines

• Proficiency in digital projects is a plus
