Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle the entire accounts payable function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing invoices, liaising with procurement teams, and preparing monthly reports. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles. Experience in the construction industry and proficiency with SQL or accounting software will be advantageous. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Good knowledge and basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with full set of accounts is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire accounts payable function including invoice and payment arrangements.
• Liaise with commercial and procurement teams regarding disputes on invoices.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the entire accounts payable function such as key-in invoice, payment arrangements, AP reconciliation, AP aging management and staff claim;
• Liaise with commercial and procurement team on the disputes and discrepancies invoice and other related supporting documents;
• Handle daily operation matters;
• Monthly bank reconciliation;
• To prepare monthly project summary report and monitor the project performance;
• Assist yearly audits;
• Able to handle full set of accounts is an added advantage;
• To perform any other duties assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent
• 3 years working experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage
• Good knowledge and basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Knowledge in SQL or IFCA accounting software is an added advantage;
• Good in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Points;
• Good interpersonal, communication skills and proactive.
