Job summary

ByteDance in Singapore is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to join the HR Operations team. You will manage complex ER matters, including organization redesign and performance management, partnering with business leaders to deliver compliant and effective ER outcomes.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, investigative skills, and deep knowledge of Asia Pacific employment laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Employee Relations experience with organization redesign, workforce realignment, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulatory frameworks across Asia Pacific.
• Proven experience managing complex high-volume ER cases and providing risk-based advice.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, evolving business environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage ER cases including disciplinary issues, misconduct, performance concerns, grievances, redundancies, complex absences.
• Conduct independent investigations of complex HR-related concerns and analyze evidence to reach conclusions.
• Provide advice to businesses on disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and regional employment practices.
• Maintain detailed ER case documentation and investigation reports.
• Curate and deliver training to improve HRBP and leader effectiveness in ER decisions.
• Build partnerships with business leaders and HR partners to sustain positive ER practices.
• Foster relationships with legal and investigations to balance risk and calibrate recommendations.
• Examine trends to diagnose root causes and develop corrective actions.
