Job summary

Bytedance is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to join the HR Operations – Employee Relations team in Singapore. You will support Southeast Asia and APAC, focusing on complex ER matters including organization redesign, workforce realignment, and performance management.

The role requires strong ER expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an onsite position based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Employee Relations experience, including organization redesign, workforce realignment and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulatory frameworks across the Asia Pacific region.
• Proven experience managing complex, high-volume Employee Relations cases with risk-based guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver pragmatic ER solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage ER cases including disciplinary issues, misconduct, performance concerns, grievances, redundancies and complex absences to resolution.
• Conduct independent investigations of complex HR-related concerns and analyze evidence to form conclusions.
• Provide advice on disciplinary actions up to warnings related to ER cases and policy interpretation.
• Maintain detailed ER case documentation including investigation reports and issue analysis.
• Curate and deliver training to improve ER decision-making and leader effectiveness.
• Build partnerships with leaders and HR Business Partners to sustain positive ER practices.
• Collaborate with employment legal and investigations to balance risk and calibrate recommendations.
• Examine trends to diagnose root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Ensure a coordinated case management approach to ER matters.
