Job summary

Ethos is seeking senior environmental scientists to help train an AI language model on professional environmental documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. The role focuses on creating, evaluating, and refining AI-generated outputs across environmental impact reports, surveys, and regulatory submissions.

The engagements are fully remote, offer flexible 5-20 hours per week, and pay $90 per hour. Start date is ASAP, with potential for additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years conducting environmental impact assessments, ecological surveys, or regulatory compliance monitoring in a consulting, government, or academic setting.
• Direct experience interpreting field and lab data such as species counts, water and soil chemistry, or emissions readings and translating it into technical reports for regulators or clients.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.
