Ethos is seeking experienced software developers to help train a language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. This role offers fully remote, flexible hours and a focus on producing high-quality technical documents and API specs.

We require 4+ years in software/data/AI roles, with strong writing skills and attention to detail. The engagement is 5-20 hours per week, ASAP start, and suitable for remote contributors worldwide.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a software engineer, data engineer, or AI/ML practitioner documenting technical designs.
• Experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness and documenting tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail in technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Document technical tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to API specifications, data quality and validation plans, and onboarding guides.
