The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and delivering construction projects from inception to completion — ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, timelines, and budgets. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and coordination skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and oversee the full cycle of construction projects — planning, design coordination, execution, and handover.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and procurement plans.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure design intent and constructability.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve design or site-related issues.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients.
- Ensure that all construction works comply with BCA, WSH, and other statutory requirements.
- Manage and supervise project teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor quality control, safety standards, and environmental practices across all project stages.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive and corrective actions as needed.
- Approve project cost variations, manage claims, and control expenditure against budgets.
- Ensure project milestones are met within targeted timelines and specifications.
- Support tender preparation, costing, and technical proposals for new project bids.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement within project teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Construction, or Building Engineering (Postgraduate qualifications preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale civil, structural, or architectural projects in Singapore.
- In-depth knowledge of BCA, LTA, PUB, and WSH regulations and standards.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera, and other project management software.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, tendering, and contract administration (including PSSCOC).
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- WSH Safety Management Course for Project Managers (SMC) or equivalent certification preferred.
- PE or RE/RTO registration (advantage).
- Possession of a Class 3 Driving Licence (advantage).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Full-time, site and office-based position.
- Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday to Saturday) or as per project requirements.
- Work locations: Various project sites across Singapore.
- May require extended hours during peak project phases or site inspections.
