Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in Civil Engineering and extensive experience in Singapore’s construction industry. Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is required, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. This role also involves mentoring junior staff and participating in value engineering discussions.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in planning and technical roles within Singapore’s construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of BCA regulations and construction methodologies.
• Certified PMP or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
• Monitor project progress and recommend mitigation measures.
• Conduct critical path analysis and resource planning.
• Prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
• Review architectural and structural drawings for constructability.
• Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors on technical discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with BCA regulations.
• Manage design changes and approval processes.
• Propose efficient construction methodologies.
• Participate in value engineering exercises.
• Provide technical inputs during tender submissions.
• Identify potential risks in schedules and solutions.
• Work closely with project teams to address site challenges.
• Liaise with project managers and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior planners and engineers.
