Singapore Badminton Open, other events), our digital properties (website, mobile app, social channels), membership base, sponsors and patrons etc. The position combines business development (horizon scanning, donor/sponsor management, pitching) with marketing leadership (brand strategy, campaigns, digital engagement) to maximise SBA’s impact across events, grassroots programs, and high‑performance pathways. The successful candidate will be expected to develop long‑term strategic goals, foster collaborative relationships both within and outside of the group, and drive significant revenue success for the SBA group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. 1. Horizon Scanning of New Potential Leads
    • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor FMCG, tech, telco, finance, travel, healthcare, education, and public sector verticals to identify partnership opportunities (cash sponsorships, in‑kind, CSR, ESG, cause marketing, licensing, hospitality, digital content).
    • Prospecting: Build and maintain a qualified pipeline using CRM tools, segmentation (e.g., brand fit, budget cycle, ESG priorities), and lead scoring; conduct proactive outreach via warm networks, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and event circuits.
    • Insight Development: Analyse competitor sponsorships, category trends, media valuations, and audience data (events, grassroots programs, schools, nationwide reach) to craft hypotheses for partnership value.
    • Partnership Packaging: Identify assets for monetisation (naming rights, event tiers, broadcast/digital content, experiential activations, grassroots development, high‑performance team support, hospitality, and data/insights).
  2. 2. Donor & Sponsor Relations Management
    • Account Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners and donors, ensuring timely communication, satisfaction, and renewal readiness.
    • Deliverables & Compliance: Track all rights and benefits (branding, content, hospitality, access, reporting) and ensure operational delivery with Events, Marketing, and High Performance teams; uphold PDPA and brand safety standards.
    • Performance Reporting: Produce periodic impact and ROI reports (reach, engagement, media value, participation metrics, community outcomes), and coordinate third‑party measurement as needed.
    • Retention & Upsell: Design engagement plans, co‑create activations, propose add‑ons/renewals, and manage executive touchpoints (reviews, showcases, board briefings).
    • Stewardship for Donors: Align philanthropic interests with SBA’s grassroots and high‑performance pathways; curate recognition, impact storytelling, and transparent fund‑use reporting.
  3. 3. Pitching Preparation
    • Strategy & Narrative: Translate partner objectives into tailored partnership concepts; articulate SBA’s value proposition with clear deliverables, projected ROI, and measurement frameworks.
    • Materials Development: Create tiered proposal decks, one‑pagers, rate cards, and asset inventories; prepare case studies, budgets, calendars, activation concepts, and executive summaries.
    • Financial Modelling: Draft pricing and benefit matrices; model scenarios for cash/in‑kind blends, exclusivity tiers, and multi‑year structures.
    • Bid Readiness: Prepare RFP/RFI responses, due diligence documents, and contracts in collaboration with Legal and Finance; maintain a library of up‑to‑date boilerplates and templates.
  4. 4. Group Marketing Leadership for SBA:
    • Provide innovative leadership in creating a marketing, branding and communication strategy, including developing long‑term goals and an annual operating process to optimise the positioning of the group.
    • Be a member of the crisis management team, managing the response to and communications around both planned and unplanned situations across multiple media to both the internal and external community as appropriate.
    • Own and manage the marketing, communication and event budget to generate desired output.
Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a results‑oriented approach.
Preferred Skills
