Job summary

A leading insurance company in Singapore is seeking a motivated actuary to join its Actuarial Group & Health Pricing Team. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, support product pricing, and deliver data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, has at least one year of relevant experience, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience with programming languages is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Good progress in actuarial credentials (e.g. ASA, AIA, AFA) from a recognized international actuarial body.
  • 1 year of experience in actuarial; relevant internship experience welcome.
  • Adaptable and open to a dynamic working environment.

As part of Income’s Actuarial Group & Health Pricing Team, candidate will work closely and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver business-oriented, customer-focused and innovative insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate and support business stakeholders on business quotations and product pricing
  • Engage business stakeholders to gather insights for pricing and analytics and strengthen technical pricing tapping on data-driven insights using external and internal data sources
  • Ensure deliveries follows the department's best practice on risk and compliance
  • Support other team deliveries including business management reports, experience and profit monitoring and reinsurance tender
  • Adopt design-thinking and agile framework in delivering project
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field with good progress in actuarial credentials (e.g. ASA, AIA, AFA) from a recognized international actuarial body
  • 1 year of experience in actuarial, candidate with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply
  • Ability in critical thinking, problem solving and decision making
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Adaptable and open to dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
