Lead end-to-end business development: Drive the entire process from initial prospecting and relationship building to structuring proposals, leading pitch teams, negotiating contracts, and successfully closing new mandates.
Achieve and exceed new business targets: Be directly accountable for acquiring new clients and achieving quarterly/annual new business revenue goals, contributing substantially to the practice's overall growth.
Build a referral network: Cultivate and leverage a robust network of referrals from law firms, investment banks, auditors, and private equity/venture capital firms to generate high-quality leads.
Client Strategy, Advisory & Expansion
Serve as a senior advisor to C-suite executives, CFOs, and investor relations teams on financial communications matters.
Oversee the development of integrated communication strategies for clients, including IPO roadshows, annual/quarterly earnings, M&A transactions, and crisis situations.
Identify and drive account expansion: Uncover opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts by introducing new services (e.g., ESG communications, crisis simulation training, shareholder activism advisory, digital IR strategy).
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account managers and executives, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide coaching to develop team members’ skills in financial communications, client management, and strategic thinking.
Optimize team workflows and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery and client satisfaction.
Market Presence & Industry Expertise
Maintain deep expertise in capital markets, regulatory trends (e.g., SEC, HKEX, SGX), ESG frameworks, and geopolitical factors impacting client sectors.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and media engagements to strengthen our brand and network.
Contribute thought leadership (e.g., articles, webinars, whitepapers) on topics relevant to financial communications.
Essential
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field.
5-8+ years of experience in corporate financial communications, investor relations, or a related role, with a proven track record of originating and closing new business.

Experience leading teams and developing talent in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus.
Preferred
Experience advising clients during IPOs, M&A transactions, or crisis situations
Established network among financial journalists, investors, and C-suite executives.
Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and related communications.
