Job summary

A leading semiconductor manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking a Security Manager to oversee site access control, employee identification, and security team management. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in security management, strong leadership skills, and familiarity with access control systems. This role involves budget management and ensuring compliance with security protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Job description
1. Access Control & Security Operations
  • Manage and supervise all site access control processes for personnel, vehicles, and goods.
  • Oversee site parking management and enforce parking policies.
  • Monitor and maintain access control systems, including permissions setup and system software management.
  • Manage site door lock controls and ensure proper authorization protocols.
  • Maintain and manage the card access record system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute special events or assignment.
2. Security Team Management
  • Lead, train, and supervise the site outsourced security team to ensure professionalism and operational readiness.
  • Oversee daily patrol operations and PIP (Proprietary Information Protection) duty execution.
  • Promote and implement PIP culture and initiatives within the security team.
3. Visitor & Contractor Management
  • Execute and maintain the visitor management system, ensuring proper identification and authorization.
  • Manage contractor/visitor access, compliance, and monitoring through the contractor management system.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with internal departments regarding visitor or contractor needs.
4. Employee Access and ID Management
  • Oversee employee ID card production, issuance, and record maintenance.
  • Manage employee security-related systems to support internal operational needs.
6. Budget & Administration
  • Prepare and manage the annual CAPEX and expense budget for the security function.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure cost control and compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in security management, administration or related disciplines
  • 3–5 years of security or facilities experience (factory environment preferred)
  • Experience leading and supervising a security team
  • Familiarity with access control/security systems
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and emergency-response skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations and make quick, sound decisions.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or large industrial environment will be an added advantage.
