Job description

As a Security Officer, you’ll be implementing safety and security policies in accordance with IHG standards – emphasizing to remain alert at all times to team members. By allowing guests to feel safe and that their safety is not being compromised, it would encourage them to repeat visits to our hotel.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Reporting to Manager all hotel property deficiencies and safety or security hazards

  • Monitoring CCTV cameras to observe for any suspicious activities, guests or vehicles

  • Maintaining keen vigilance at colleague entrance where colleagues, casual labours and visitors check in

  • Assisting with investigation works for reported incidents within the hotel premises

  • Arranging Night Transport requests for colleagues

  • Responding to emergencies as a member of CERT / Certified First Aider

  • Familiar with fire / workplace safety procedure guided by hotel’s emergency plan in any case of fire outbreak

  • Escorting VIPs and dignitaries

  • Engaging with guest confidently & appropriately

What we need from you

  • A minimum qualification in GCE O levels

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience

  • Possess a valid security officer licence (PLRD)

  • Able to work rotating 12 hours shift over weekends and public holidays (8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8 am shift hours)

  • Proactive and have an eye for details

  • Able to stay alert & professional at all times
