Job Description

Lead and manage the Security Department of Singapore Recreation Club (SRC), ensuring the safety of patrons, staff, and club assets. Develop security strategies, manage resources, oversee daily operations, and foster collaboration across stakeholders while upholding professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Department Management
  1. Lead and manage the Security Department, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
  2. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
  3. Monitor budgets and ensure departmental expenditures are within approved limits.
Operational Oversight
  1. Supervise daily security operations and maintain 24-hour on-call readiness.
  2. Ensure safety across all sports, recreation areas, and club activities. Ensure non-compliance areas are rectified.
  3. Maintain compliance with Fire Safety Regulations; lead the Fire Safety Committee and conduct drills exercises.
  4. Perform operational audits and implement new procedures for compliance and efficiency.
Incident & Risk Management
  1. Investigate incidents, compile reports, and liaise with authorities when required.
  2. Act as the main liaison with law enforcement and relevant agencies.
  3. Prevent situations that could harm the club’s reputation or safety.
Workplace Safety & Compliance
  1. Promote a safety-first culture; ensure staff follow safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
  2. Participate in workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all WSH regulations.
Other Duties
  1. Attend HOD, Management Committee, or ad-hoc meetings representing the Security Department.
  2. Perform any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Management.
  3. Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
  4. Not engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.
  5. Use personal protective equipment provided to you to ensure your safety while working. You must not tamper with or misuse the equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma / Professional Certificate. Applicants without the minimum qualification but with proven experience and WSQ Supervisory qualification is acceptable.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Supervisory qualification is acceptable.
  • Valid Security Officer License issued by the Singapore Police Force.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, emergency response, risk management, and fire safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Proficiency in incident reporting systems and security technology.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Management or related security qualifications.
