Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. seeks a counsellor to engage secondary school students, build rapport, and deliver counselling-based interventions. You will identify underlying issues and coordinate with school staff to support student wellbeing and resilience.

The role requires diploma-level counselling qualifications, experience with adolescents, and strong communication. Responsibilities include documenting cases, mentoring students, and sharing tips with teachers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in counselling or psychology (or equivalent).
• Experience counseling or working with school-aged teenagers in a secondary school setting.
• Strong skills in relationship-building, communication, emotional regulation and conflict management.

Responsibilities

• Meet up with students to engage, build rapport and apply counselling techniques.
• Identify underlying social, emotional or behavioural issues to plan interventions.
• Address wellbeing concerns and equip students with coping strategies.
• Mentor students with guidance, motivation and positive role-modeling.
• Customise engagement programmes for individuals or groups with stakeholder agreement.
• Conduct home visits with school staff and refer when appropriate.
• Communicate with school staff and parents while maintaining confidentiality.
• Document counselling activities and case summaries weekly.
• Share counselling tips with teachers and other stakeholders each term.
