Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Student Care Officer to engage, mentor and support students with emotional, social, or wellbeing needs within the school setting. The role involves coordinating activities, tracking progress, and collaborating with parents and teachers.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience in youth engagement, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications or certifications in youth work or related fields.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year working with youths in a school, social service or community setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with youths and adults.
• Ability to mentor students with emotional, social or well-being issues.
• Demonstrates emotional resilience and empathy with a caring, professional disposition.

Responsibilities

• Engage,befriend and mentor students with emotional, social or well-being issues.
• Monitor and track progress toward the school’s desired outcomes.
• Plan and supervise engagement activities at the engagement centre.
• Coordinate parent engagement on child’s progress and well-being with teachers and management.
• Identify suitable community partners and enroll students in programmes.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student interactions and incidents.
• Follow safeguarding and data protection protocols and escalate concerns as needed.
• Perform any other student-related duties or school operations as assigned.
