Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Canteen Head Chef at Singapore Korean International School, located in Singapore. The Head Chef will oversee the day-to-day operations of the school canteen, including preparing meals, managing kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The Head Chef will coordinate closely with school staff to accommodate special events and nutritional requirements.

Job Scope
  • Well-versed in Korean cuisine and Korean food preparation methods
  • Manages kitchen personnel and daily operations of a canteen kitchen
  • Reviews food and beverage purchases as well as develops and standardizes recipes
  • Plans and designs special menu items
  • Maintains safety and sanitation in the kitchen and for all kitchen equipment
  • Involves in washing dishes and cleaning utensils
  • Possess at least Certificate or Diploma in Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts or equivalent in related fields
  • Possess at least one culinary license
  • Able to prepare Korean cuisine and food
  • Able to prepare meals for large group of people (300+ portions daily)
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Korean language
  • Working hours: 0800 ~ 1700 with 1 hour break in between (Mon - Fri) & 0830 ~ 12:30 (Sat)
  • Contract Duration: 2026.02.19 ~ 2027.02.28 (starting date negotiable)
