Job summary

Chin Leong Construction Systems Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage import/export documentation, coordinate with freight forwarders, and ensure timely deliveries from suppliers to sites.

You will verify HS codes, maintain records, and support administrative duties, with a 5-day work week in the West Coast area. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent with knowledge of import/export documentation and procedures.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and their application in shipments.
• Good communication skills; bilingual preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents (import/export & transshipment) including D.O and invoices.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders on shipment arrangements, bills of lading, import/export permits and customs clearance.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers, customers, warehouse personnel and transporters to ensure timely shipments and deliveries.
• Monitor shipment schedules and delivery status and update relevant parties on shipment progress and changes.
• Follow up on shipping delays, shortages, damaged goods and delivery discrepancies and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and organize shipping documentation for tracking and reference.
• Verify HS code classifications in accordance with customs and import requirements of destination countries.
• Administrative duties.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE “O” or “A” Levels, Diploma
• Knowledge of Import & Export Documentation & Procedures
• Knowledge of Incoterms
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills, preferably bilingual
• 2 to 3 years relevant working experience
• Able to multi-task and with min. supervision
• Able to start work immediately
• Team player and PC literate in Word and Excel
