Job summary

SEARCH INDEX PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a proactive Business Development / Sales Hunter to identify and secure new clients in the freight forwarding sector, delivering tailored logistics solutions and building lasting relationships.

You will pursue revenue targets, prepare proposals, and support operations to ensure service excellence. The role demands 3–4 years of hunting sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and a self-driven, target-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Business or related field.
• 3–4 years of hunting sales experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistic/Shipping.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in hunting roles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent follow-up and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities locally.
• Implement strategic plans to meet revenue targets and explore new markets.

• Maintain regular contact to build rapport and gain market intelligence.

Job Scope:

• Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities locally
• Implementing strategic plans to meet revenue targets and explore emerging markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored logistics solutions to ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
• Maintain close contact with customers regularly in order to build a strong rapport for more business support and market intelligence
• Prepare competitive quotations and proposals
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports to the Manager
• Achieve individual sales targets and exceed key performance metrics (KPIs)
• Provide support to the Operations Team when required

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Business and/or related field
• 3-4 years of strong hunting sales and business development experiences in the Freight Forwarding / Logistic / Shipping industry
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in hunting responsibilities
• Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skill
• Strong follow-up and effective negotiation skills
• Self-driven, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast paced, target oriented environment.
