Job summary

SEARCH INDEX PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Business Development / Sales Hunter to proactively pursue local opportunities in the freight forwarding sector. The role offers a basic salary plus commission and targets aligned with revenue growth.

You will build strong customer relationships, tailor logistics solutions, and contribute to weekly and monthly sales reporting while supporting operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in business or related field.
• 3–4 years hunting sales in freight forward/logistics.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities locally.

• Prepare quotations and proposals.

Job Scope

• Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities locally
• Implementing strategic plans to meet revenue targets and explore emerging market
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored logistics solutions to ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
• Maintain close contact with customers regularly in order to build a strong rapport for more business support and market intelligence
• Prepare competitive quotations and proposals
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports to the Manager
• Achieve individual sales targets and exceed key performance metrics (KPIs)
• Provide support to the Operations Team when required

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Business and/or related field
• 3-4 years of strong hunting sales and business development experiences in the Freight Forwarding / Logistic / Shipping industry
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in hunting responsibilities
• Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skill
• Strong follow-up and effective negotiation skills
• Self-driven, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast paced, target oriented environment.
