Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Resident Engineer for a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. The role involves coordinating daily inspections and reports with various teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supervising civil and structural works. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a recognized degree in Civil Engineering. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, including 2 years in LTA related works.
• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB.
• Accredited as a RE with IES.
• Willingness to commence work immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work with RTOs, QAQC Engineer, and Inspector.
• Assist in method statement reviews and compliance reports.

Job description

This is a 6-month contract (with possible 6-month extension) for POB upgrading works.

The RE shall report to the QP-Supervision. To coordinate work with RTOs, QAQC Engineer, and Inspector for daily inspections, reports, testing, meetings. Assist and coordinate with the QP on method statement reviews and other periodic/adhoc reports, including non-conformances and compliance, safety issues, work permits etc. Implementation of the Site Supervision Plan (SSP) and Project Quality Plan (PQP). Other duties as assigned, including administrative work.

The Supervision Team shall supervise all civil, structural and geotechnical building works, including structural elements for architectural works under the Civil Contracts for compliance with the Authority’s Requirements for Permanent works and Temporary works.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of civil engineering experience of which 2 years are LTA related
• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB
• Accredited as a RE with IES
• Able to commence work immediately (or short notice)
