A prestigious university in Singapore is seeking a talented Research Assistant in Psychology for a project focusing on teacher-child interactions and children's cognitive development. Candidates must have a relevant Bachelor's degree and experience in data collection. The role involves conducting research with children, managing projects, and analyzing data. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing field with impact on education and child development.
We are looking for a talented Research Assistant in Psychology. S/he will join an existing Science of Learning (SOL) research project, “Teacher-Child Neural Scaffolding for Executive Function & School Readiness”, funded by the Ministry of Education and led by PI Professor Victoria Leong at NTU. This project aims to identify objective neural hallmarks of successful teacher‑child interaction and pedagogical behaviour that predict children’s emerging executive function neurocircuitry and school readiness in both typically developing children and children with neurodevelopmental risk factors.
The successful candidate will conduct cutting‑edge social neuroscience research with children and teachers (involving dyadic‑EEG acquisition and analysis), including children with (or at risk for) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
This research will be conducted both within a laboratory setting and at preschools. In addition to conducting EEG measurements, the candidate will assess the classroom environment and teacher‑child interactions, administer standardized developmental tests, and contribute to behavioural coding and data analysis.
The incumbent will also need to be involved in activities, events or webinars coordination and other administration duties related to the Research work.
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
