Job summary

Samtec, Inc. in Singapore seeks a Help Desk Technician to provide end-user support across the organization. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with satellite locations globally to resolve incidents.

The role requires 2–5 years in MIS support, strong desktop support skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed. On-the-job training will be provided to grow in a fast-paced IT environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of MIS support experience.
• Experience with PC software in an IS environment.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Vision 20/40, read a monitor for 90 minutes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sit/stand for 90 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations of the MIS department, including problem determination, evaluation, and corrections.
• Phone system support.
• Global User Ticket Entry.
• User Desktop Support for Singapore (OS, applications, Hardware, external devices).
• Remote support for Satellite locations (US, Asia, Europe, South America).
• Procurement functions and relationships pertaining to hardware/software.
