Role Overview
The Regulatory & Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all supplement and skincare products meet regulatory requirements across current and future markets. This role manages regulatory submissions, licensing, audits, documentation, and packaging compliance to support timely product launches and maintain ongoing market access.
As the company expands, this role will also support future regulatory needs for potential TCM product licensing.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Submissions & Licensing
- Manage end-to-end regulatory submissions for supplement, food and skincare products across relevant markets.
- Prepare and submit applications for product registration, notifications, and renewals.
- Coordinate and support GDP (Good Distribution Practice) audits required for licensing and distribution.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, third-party consultants, and certification bodies.
- Maintain regulatory timelines and ensure approvals remain on track to support product launches.
Compliance Management
- Monitor regulatory changes and new requirements across markets to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, technical files, product dossiers, ingredient specifications, and safety assessments.
- Provide regulatory guidance on product formulation, ingredient compliance, and allowable claims.
Packaging & Labeling Compliance
- Review and validate all product packaging, labels, claims, and marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Work with design, marketing, and product teams to ensure labels meet market-specific requirements.
- Support future TCM labeling and registration needs as part of the company's long-term expansion plan.
Cross-Functional Support
- Provide regulatory input during product development and early formulation stages.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure product quality meets compliance standards.
- Assist with SOP creation and development of compliance checklists.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in regulatory affairs for supplements, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or related regulated industries.
- Experience with product registrations and regulatory submissions in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, China, or others (preferred).
- Familiarity with GDP requirements and audit processes.
