Job summary

Oaktree Consulting seeks a seasoned International Business Development professional to drive growth across target regions in Asia-Pacific. You will identify growth opportunities, evaluate distributors and end users, and lead multi-channel outreach including exhibitions and trade missions.

The role requires 2–5 years in industrial equipment or energy sectors, with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years international business development in industrial equipment, energy solutions, or construction sectors (power generation preferred).
• Experience with BESS, power systems, or construction equipment is an advantage.
• Strong communication, networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research, analyze competitors, and pinpoint growth opportunities in target regions.
• Find and evaluate prospective distributors, rental firms, EPC contractors, and industrial end users.
• Generate leads through cold outreach, LinkedIn, phone calls, exhibitions, conferences, and trade missions.
• Qualify leads and build lasting relationships with distribution partners.
• Assist the CEO in contract discussions and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with the technical and marketing teams to prepare proposals and sales presentations.
• Support the onboarding of new distributors and channel partners.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on pipeline status, outreach performance, and market trends.
• Track distributor performance and sales activity across the region.
• Help shape the company's regional business strategy.
• Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and partner meetings.
