FranklinWH SG PTE. LTD.

is seeking a Senior Director of Research and Development to lead the Singapore R&D Center's technical direction and organizational development for residential energy storage, ensuring delivery, quality, cost, and competitiveness across the portfolio. You will oversee architecture, hardware/software, BMS, EMS, mechanical design, testing, and cross-functional collaboration with product, supply chain, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in power electronics, electrical engineering, automation, or related discipline.
15+ years of R&D experience in energy storage, including 10+ years leading R&D teams.
Deep knowledge of residential energy storage systems and architecture.
Familiarity with international product safety, grid-connection, and reliability standards.
Strong strategic planning, program management, and cross-functional leadership.
Ability to lead international technical collaboration in English.
End-to-end R&D management from concept to field iterations.

Responsibilities

Lead operations, organization, technology planning, and team management at the Singapore R&D Center.
Develop short-term and medium-long-term technology roadmaps for residential energy storage.
Establish and improve processes, standards, and systems; lead hiring and development.
Manage schedules, quality, cost, and risk; coordinate resources.
Monitor emerging technologies and drive innovation, patents, and commercialization of results.
Develop annual R&D plans, milestones, and resource allocation.
Establish governance for major technical decisions and engineering changes.
Represent the Singapore center in group-level collaboration with product, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams.
