Job summary

FRANKLINWH SG PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Design Expert to own the mechanical architecture and detailed design of residential energy storage products, including battery packs, inverters, thermal management, IP protection, and durability.

You will lead 3D modeling, drawings, supplier reviews, and manufacturing documentation from prototype to mass production, ensure compliance with international safety and ingress protection standards, and collaborate with cert/test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical design/engineering.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience for energy storage products.
• Experience designing PCS or inverter structures preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and engineering drawings; familiarity with energy storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical solutions for residential energy storage systems, battery packs, and inverters, including 3D models, drawings, prototypes, enclosures, and thermal management.
• Optimize mechanical designs to meet ingress protection, mechanical strength, vibration, thermal, and corrosion-resistance targets per standards.
• Lead structural component selection, cost assessment, manufacturability analysis, and coordinate production introduction.
• Perform thermal and structural-strength simulations and optimize system thermal design for outdoor environments.
• Produce mechanical drawings, BOMs, process specs, and test standards; establish standardized design practices.
• Conduct tolerance-stack, dimensional, DFMEA analyses and define critical characteristics and inspection needs.
• Participate in supplier/tooling reviews, first-article approvals, and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Work with certification and test teams to develop reliability and environmental validation plans and optimize designs based on test results.
