Job summary

FRANKLINWH SG PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Battery Management Software Expert to lead architecture and core algorithms for residential energy storage BMS.

The role focuses on SOC/SOH estimation, safety protection, thermal management, and field stability, guiding development from concept to mass production. You will collaborate with hardware, test, and system teams to ensure robust software design, calibration, and verification across varying cell platforms and operating conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; at least 10 years in BMS software development for energy storage.
• Expertise in BMS core principles: SOC, SOH, cell-balancing, thermal-management, fault-protection.
• Proficiency in embedded C and interfaces (CAN/RS485); ability to integrate hardware and software.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion chemistry and international safety standards; mass-production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own software architecture, feature development, algorithm iteration, and validation for BMS solutions.
• Develop and optimize core SOC, SOH, balancing, thermal management, fault-diagnosis algorithms.
• Optimize BMS control strategies for residential energy storage across grid-connected and off-grid modes.
• Collaborate with cell, pack, hardware, test, and system teams to define interfaces and safety thresholds.
• Produce design specifications, algorithm documents, and test reports; ensure compliance with safety standards.
