Job summary

FRANKLINWH SG PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Systems Hardware Expert to own the hardware solution and detailed design for complete residential energy storage and power conversion systems, including topologies, component selection, system integration, reliability, and production readiness.

You will lead hardware design, DFMEA, and production readiness, collaborating with software, mechanical, and test teams to ensure performance, safety, EMC, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in power electronics or related discipline with 10+ years in residential energy storage hardware development.
• Expertise in energy storage power topologies and hardware design of inverters and storage systems, with emphasis on SI, EMC, and safety.
• Proficient with mainstream PCB design tools and able to complete system hardware design, debugging, and production launch autonomously.
• Knowledge of hardware protection logic and architecture for lithium-ion storage systems, with experience in failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Able to read technical materials and participate in international R&D collaborations in English.
• Experience with hardware DFMEA, derating, tolerance analysis, and reliability design.
• Ability to analyze oscilloscope and power analyzer data to drive design improvements.

Responsibilities

• Clarify and translate product requirements into system architecture, interfaces, and verifiable design targets.
• Develop competitive hardware solutions for residential energy storage and PCS inverters.
• Design and optimize hardware architectures, schematics, and PCB layouts for storage systems and power electronics.
• Lead hardware reliability, safety testing, EMC, temperature-rise, and ingress protection activities.
• Lead component selection, cost optimization, and corrective actions; own hardware risk tracking.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and test teams for system integration and fault isolation.
• Produce hardware design documents, test reports, and mass-production specifications.
