Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a professional for the role of Estimator specializing in ELV systems. You will analyze project documents, prepare accurate Bill of Quantities, and submit competitive cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, 2-3 years of experience, and strong knowledge in electronic security solutions. Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar field.
• Working knowledge of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.
• Previous experience with Card Access and CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings and prepare accurate BOQs.
• Prepare cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotations.

Skills

Job Description & Requirements

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for ELV systems.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions in coordination with engineering and procurement teams.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotations to ensure scope and price compliance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for clarifications during the tendering phase.
• Monitor project budgets, material requirements, and identify any financial or commercial risks.
• Track market trends, cost data, and supplier prices for continuous improvement in estimating processes.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet project and budget requirements.
• Collaborate with technical support team to provide Technical Support & Bidding Support

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related qualifications
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar field
• Strong technical knowledge in Electronic Security - Card Access, CCTV, Integrated Security Management System (ISMS)
• Minimum knowledge of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) such as IP Network Switches, Public Address, Intercom and other 3rd parties’ solutions
• Proven experience in medium to large Security and ELV projects
• Ability to design, size, and estimate various Security Related and ELV systems
• Working knowledge of IP networking, Cyber Security solutions would be preferred
