Job Description

• Establish and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to define procedures, documentation, and standards required to ensure consistent quality across all shipbuilding and repair operations.
• Ensure all projects comply with high-quality standards, customer specifications, and mandatory regulatory requirements from classification societies and relevant authorities.
• Lead the Quality Control team to inspect and verify each stage of vessel construction, with particular focus on critical areas such as welding, fabrication, and coating, ensuring strict adherence to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
• Ensure vessels meet all safety and structural standards set by classification societies and international maritime regulations, coordinate audits, and manage the resolution of any quality issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant shipyard experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and general computer applications.
• Solid understanding of shipbuilding processes and ability to interpret technical specifications and engage with trades and clients.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work permanently at a shipyard in Batam.
