Collins Business Unit- GASCA(Goodrich Aerostructures Service Centre) located at Changi North, specializes in the MRO of aircraft nacelle systems and airframe composite components. It is a leading supplier of nacelle systems to major commercial airframe and engine manufacturers and provides best-in-class MRO services for latest nacelle systems.
As an SMS/IS Engineer, you are responsible for identifying and mitigating hazards and risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Information Security, and developing and implementing safety policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include conducting Safety and Part IS audits and risk assessments, managing related training programs, and supporting external audits and safety reporting. This role demands strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills to uphold a safe and compliant working environment throughout the system and product safety lifecycle.

Job Description
- Key Quality Focal: Lead hazard analyses and risk assessments, implementing strategies to reduce risks to acceptable levels under Part 21 and Part 145 for both Safety and Information Security.
- Compliance: Ensure full adherence to safety management and information security regulations.
- System Development: Administer and maintain the Safety Management System, including updates to the MOE, procedures, policies, and checklists.
- Audit: Conduct Safety and Information Security audits to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
- Training and Promotion: Develop and deliver safety training, facilitate safety group discussions, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Reporting: Support external safety audits, prepare and submit safety findings, technical reports, compliance reviews, and certification documentation.
- Data Analysis: Analyze safety event data, identify trends, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaboration with the ISM team on Part IS-related activities.
Continuous Improvement – Digitalization and Industry 4.0 Initiatives
- Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and automation into Quality operations.
- Participate in performance improvement processes through CORE.
- Design automation tools, processes, and macros—for example, developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Python programming to improve workflow efficiency.
- Integrate and program new automated components into the MRO process to enhance productivity and consistency.
Education Level, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Fresh grade is welcome. 3-7 years’ relevant experience is added advantage
Experience Level:
- 3 – 7 years of relevant experience is added advantage
- Engineering trained, good team player, self-motivated, fast learner, good communication skill, and good authoring / literature composing
Knowledge and Skills:
- O365, Microsoft Visio, MathCad
- Excellent computer skills – particularly in programming and software development.
- Equipment troubleshooting skills such as debug or troubleshoot an existing system
- Excellent Communication and presenting skills, able to clearly explain novel and complex ideas to stakeholders of all levels and within multidisciplinary teams.

- Problem solving and creative thinking to troubleshoot problems as they arise and find effective solutions
