Job summary

A mechanical manufacturing firm is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure all products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of QA experience in a similar environment. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, handling non-conformance reports, and supporting audits. Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 is an advantage. This position is located in Singapore and requires strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job description

We are looking for aQuality Assurance Engineerto ensure that all products and processes meetcustomer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. The role involves inspection, documentation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities within a mechanical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures in accordance with company and customer requirements
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Review and approve inspection reports, route cards, and quality records
  • Handle non-conformance (NCR), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Perform root cause analysis and support improvement initiatives
  • Support customer audits, internal audits, and supplier audits
  • Liaise with production, engineering, and suppliers on quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with ISO / customer quality standards and drawings
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree inMechanical Engineeringor related field
  • Minimum3 years of experiencein Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and inspection tools (e.g. vernier, micrometer, CMM is an advantage)
  • Familiar with quality systems such asISO 9001 / AS9100(advantage)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills (Advantage)
  • Experience in aerospace / precision engineering environment
  • Knowledge of NDT, FAI, PPAP, or customer-specific requirements
  • Audit experience (internal or external)
