A confidential food company in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to implement and maintain quality control processes. Responsibilities include developing food safety policies, investigating quality issues, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Food Science or related field, with 3–5 years of experience in the food industry. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Implement, monitor, and maintain quality assurance and food safety control processes in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Establish, review, andζουν: update food safety and quality policies, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and related documentation.
Investigate customer complaints related to product quality; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Evaluate food quality through regular sensory tests, focusing on texture, taste, nutritional value, safety, and overall product consistency.
Support internal and external audits (e.g., HACCP/ SFA).
Perform quality control inspections and audits at outlet locations; identify non-conformance and prepare detailed analysis reports with corrective action recommendations.
Assist in new product development activities, including quality evaluation, process validation, and launch readiness.
Perform other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned by management.
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalent.
Minimum _. 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or R&D, preferably in the food industry.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and systems.
