Job summary

A leading chemical company in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee laboratory activities and manage a team of Laboratory Technicians. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a Chemical related field, strong communication skills, and experience in a laboratory environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards and training staff to maintain data integrity and GMP standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication in English.
  • Ability to work as a team in department.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Working experience in Laboratory related field is preferred.

  • Check all analytical data and ensure electronic data security and storage.
  • Prepare release/reject of raw material and packaging material.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist Manager to coordinate and make arrangement of department activities assigned and manage a group of Laboratory Technicians.
  • Assist in technical transfer of new product e.g. analytical method transfer, verification and validation.
  • Ensure sampling, analytical and stability test procedures are followed and schedule is met.
  • Manage change control for Quality Control Laboratory.
  • Check all analytical data and ensure electronic data security and storage.
  • Revise/update documents whenever necessary.
  • Preparation of product/key raw materials quality trend and stability test data.
  • Check all records for maintenance, checking and calibration of analytical instrument.
  • Check records for preparation, control of laboratory reagent, reference standard, retention sample and all logbooks.
  • Prepare release/reject of raw material, packaging material and in-house produced material.
  • Assist in Investigation and resolution of all events, out-of-specification cases, out-of-trend, data invalidation, complaints and prepare report.
  • Prepare, facilitate and involve as SME for both customer and regulatory authorities’ audit.
  • Review of laboratory system and documentation and propose improvement to meet customers and regulatory authorities’ requirements.
  • Training of laboratory staff to increase awareness for GMP as well as data integrity.
  • Support the execution of the LIMS project to meet target schedule.
