Job summary

HR FOCUS is seeking a Materials Planner/Purchasing role to support our sales fulfillment and supply chain operations. This position requires a diploma with relevant experience and will involve coordination with local and overseas suppliers, SAP usage, and shipment planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform materials planning and purchasing to fulfill sales needs.
• Monitor inventory policy to balance supply with minimal inventory holding.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
• Ensure accuracy of all orders and follow-up with suppliers.
• Liaise, arrange and monitor shipments with forwarder.
• Monitor delivery with local and overseas suppliers.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely arrival and resolve undelivered goods issues.
• Prepare import/product checklists and related warehouse documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers to rectify issues such as damages or shortages.
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies to meet production schedules.
• Generate reports from SAP when required.
• Create item masters in SAP.
• Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files and price lists.
• Plan shipment consolidation to cut shipping costs.
• Coordinate with Accounts for timely payment.

Tu (Company transport at Marsiling & Jurong East MRT)

Mon - Fri (8.30am - 5.15pm)

Responsibilities

• Perform materials planning and purchasing to fulfill sales needs.
• Monitor/ review inventory stocking policy to ensure good balance between assurance of supply with minimal inventory holding.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers for parts needed based on company's agreed inventory stocking policy.
• Ensures accuracy of all orders and follow-up (telephone/ email) with suppliers.
• Liaise, arrange and monitor shipments with forwarder.
• Monitor delivery with local and oversea suppliers.
• Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
• Prepare documents such as Import product checklist, import shipment checklist and etc for warehouse checking purpose.
• Confer or correspond with supplier to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
• Requisition and maintain inventories of silencer and common stock parts to meet customer demands.
• Generate report from SAP system for analysis when required.
• Item master creation in SAP system.
• Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
• Plan for shipment consolidation to cut down shipping cost.
• Coordinate with Account department to ensure timely payment.
