Job summary

AlwaysHired Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing professional to manage full procurement cycles for production needs. You will source materials, negotiate with suppliers, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate purchasing records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing MRP requirements, expediting deliveries, and collaborating with Supply Chain and Production Planning to meet customer demands. Proactive, analytical, and team-oriented candidates will excel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP and MRP knowledge is an advantage.
• Independent, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with urgency and accountability; team player.

Responsibilities

• Manage full purchasing cycle from sourcing to PO, shipments, and invoicing.
• Review MRP requirements and procure materials to support production.
• Expedite material deliveries and ensure on-time availability per schedule.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production Planning teams to meet customer needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and review stocking parameters with guidelines.
• Coordinate with logistics for shipments, status updates, and customs.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, and inventory.
• Maintain purchasing docs: vendor codes, PO/DN/invoice matching.
• Coordinate return of materials (RMA/NCT) with suppliers.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency.
• Review BOMs to support planning and purchasing activities.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly purchasing reports timely.
• Prioritize tasks and handle ad hoc duties as required.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full purchasing cycle, including sourcing, RFQs, price negotiation, shipment arrangements, and delivery follow-ups.


• Review MRP requirements and procure materials, components, and equipment to support production needs.


• Monitor and expedite material deliveries with suppliers to ensure timely availability and adherence to production schedules.


• Work closely with Supply Chain and Production Planning teams to meet customer requirements and maintain smooth operations.


• Manage inventory levels and periodically review stocking parameters in accordance with management guidelines.


• Coordinate with logistics providers on shipment arrangements, delivery status, and customs declarations.


• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, on-time delivery, and inventory control.


• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, including vendor code setup, purchasing database updates, and matching and submission of purchase orders (PO), delivery notes (DN), and invoices to Finance.


• Coordinate the return of materials or units to suppliers, including RMA/NCT cases.


• Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives to improve purchasing efficiency.


• Review and analyse Bills of Materials (BOM) to support material planning and purchasing activities.


• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly purchasing reports accurately and on time.


• Prioritise tasks based on urgency and business requirements, while handling other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.


• At least 2 years of relevant purchasing experience is preferred.


• Good interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SAP and MRP systems is an added advantage.


• Independent, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and attention to detail.


• A good team player with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
