Job summary

A leading airport management firm in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their project management team for the Terminal 5 development. You will manage planning and execution of construction packages while ensuring high standards of quality and compliance. Ideal candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and possess strong project management and communication skills. This is a 3-year contract position with potential renewal.

Job description

Description: As part of our project management team representing our client, you will be involved in the management and development of the future Terminal 5 building and its associated facilities. You will be based at the Changi East Project Office, the site of the future Terminal 5 building.

You will be part of the team responsible for managing the planning, procurement and execution of assigned building construction packages in Terminal 5 development. You may also be tasked with design and construction management of the road tunnels and APM stations / tunnels for Terminal 5 development. This role serves as the key interface between consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, within budget and of the highest quality standard.

Requirements

  • Good degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in the design and project management of mechanical systems for tunnels, infrastructure, rail development or building services.
  • Proven track record in the design and implementation of mechanical systems for large-scale projects or infrastructure construction packages.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Good knowledge of the design codes and standards for M&E Systems.
  • Familiar with the Authorities’ requirements and the submissions and approvals.
  • Self-motivated, driven, assertive and analytical with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently to deliver results and have good project management skills.
  • Good team player and able to handle fast-paced projects.
  • This role requires both deep functional knowledge of mechanical systems, and the flexibility to manage projects across other functional/technical areas besides mechanical systems.

This position is a 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
