Job summary

A leading transport systems company is seeking a Project Engineer to support the implementation of Platform Screen Door systems in MRT/LRT projects. This role involves responsibilities such as executing schedules, resolving issues, and quality control management. This position is based in Singapore and may require night work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Report to: Project Manager

Position type: A 3‑years contract with possible renewal

Responsibilities
  • Support the project implementation activities for Platform Screen Door (PSD) systems in MRT/LRT projects including installation and system integration.
  • Execute T&C schedules for PSD systems in line with project milestones.
  • Resolve issues and conduct investigations.
  • Support Field Service & Maintenance; include carry out site inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective service of PSD equipment.
  • Discuss technical matters with the PM and CoC.
  • Provide Service Reports to Project Team/Service Centre/Business Development/CoC.
  • Support in Project Engineering activities e.g. technical support to the Project Manager for PSD scope of works.
  • Maintain a project issues list for detailing all issues/failures including customer NCR, action taken and repair turnaround time.
  • Quality control and management e.g. manage consignment spares, keeping records of use and maintaining stock availability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in PSD, automatic door systems, or electromechanical equipment.
  • Keen interest in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Good team player, works with and supports other team members.
  • Good communication skills and customer oriented.
  • Ability to travel with short notice if needed.
  • Must be able to perform night work (11pm to 5am) when required.
  • Fresh graduates will be considered.
